Terry is the appointed Historian of Det. 896.
He served from 1990 - 1996 as MOS:2621 Manual Morse Code Intercept Operator and later 2629: Signals Intelligence Analyst.
Awarded Good Conduct Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Antarctica Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.

Terry served his last two years in the Corps as a historian and museum staffer, collecting oral histories from WWII Marines and writing the history of Marine Corps tactical signals intelligence in WWII.
He works in telecommunications.
Duties of the Historian:
Begin documenting the history of the detachment and the duty history and combat experiences of its members. Additionally, assist in compiling a general history/timeline of USMC operations & significant events for dissemination to the general public by means of this website.
